If you are looking for budget hotels in Salta with good value for money, we recommend you to have a look at the following:

Salta Por Siempre is a simple accommodation, with excellent service and located one kilometre from the main square. It stands out for its interior courtyard. It also has a shared kitchen if you want to eat something there.

Another cheap place to stay in Salta is Hostal Namaste, 800 metres from the main square. Very good treatment from the owner, inner courtyard with a small pool and excellent cleanliness.

Ideal for young people, backpackers or solo travellers, La Covacha Hostel is centrally located and offers shared and double rooms with shared bathrooms. It has a terrace on the top floor for drinks and chats with other guests.

Hotel Regidor is a colonial-style accommodation in the heart of the city centre, opposite the Cathedral. It has a good breakfast, family rooms and accepts pets.

Further away from the centre but close to the Balcarce street of the folkloric peñas, Apart Hotel Ref has an indoor garden with games for children and ideal for relaxing. Comfortable rooms and good service.

  • Luxor Hotel Salta: comfort, elegance and modernity just two blocks from 9 de Julio square. Spacious rooms, free parking if you go by car and solarium with swimming pool on the terrace. Ideal for families or couples.
  • Posta del Angel: is a charming accommodation as it is housed in an old colonial-style mansion that has been transformed into a hotel and has kept its period furniture. Excellent location and comfort.
  • Delvino Boutique Hotel: themed hotel where everything revolves around wine and vineyards. It is housed in a renovated colonial house, has a beautiful garden, quality details and a swimming pool.
  • Hotel del Antiguo Convento: picturesque inside and out, it is in a quiet area close to the centre and very close to restaurants and bars. It has an indoor garden and a swimming pool for relaxation.
  • Hotel Almería: centrally located, it is a four-star accommodation category. All facilities are modern, with excellent service and a varied breakfast. It has a restaurant and spa area for relaxation.

If you are looking for accommodation away from the noise of the city and where you can see nature and breathe fresh air in the surroundings of Salta, we recommend the following options:

  • Wara Kusi: in the middle of nature close to the town of Vaqueros and 15 minutes from Salta by car, the complex has mountain houses with views of the hills, children’s playgrounds and a swimming pool. They offer horseback riding and other activities.
  • Hotel Torrontes: close to the Quebrada de San Lorenzo, it is an elegant accommodation in an old mansion surrounded by an immense garden and the hills in the background. Spectacular breakfast and comfort.
  • Posada El Prado: on the outskirts of Salta Capital, on route 51, is also a huge old restored mansion. The garden is a dream, with palm trees and lots of trees, children’s play and relaxation. It has a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.
  • B&B Casa Hernández: in the picturesque locality of San Lorenzo, a few kilometres from Salta capital, is a beautiful house with double and family rooms, a large garden and a swimming pool. It is very close to the shopping area of the village.
